Boone, Charles

Born in Cleveland, Ohio (U.S.A.) in 1939.

Studies in Vienna with Karl Schiske, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Private studies with Adolf Weiss and Ernst Krenek. Concert organizer in San Francisco (Composers’ Forum, Mills College Performing Group and Tape Music Center, BYOP Concerts). Has written and lectured on new music in the U.S.A. and Europe.

Has received commissions from the National Endowment for the Arts, the San Francisco Symphony, and other organizations. Guest composer of the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) in Berlin, 1975-77. Currently lives in Houston. 

His music is published by Salabert / Universal Classical Music.
