An organic work, at the crossroad of multiple vocal, literary and dramaturgical traditions, it was only logical that it should attract the attention of various artists influding Franck Ollu, conductor emeritus of the Perelian cause who arranged the work for chamber orchestra, and institutions such as the Lucerne Theatre which will present this capolavoro to the Swiss public in May and June (6 performances between May 1 and June 12, 2022), staged by Lydia Steier and conducted by Robert Houssart. As an introduction before the curtain is raised, a word from Franck Ollu:

EVENT:

The Xenakis weekend at Radio France

On 6, 7 and 8 May, Radio France will pay tribute to Iannis Xenakis, at the forefront of all concert programmes in this anniversary year. The Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, a venue dear to the the composer, stands out with a program that combines both commemorations (performances of KeqropsNekuia and even Psappha and Persephassa) and premieres. The vintage Studio 104 and the new age Auditorium: multiple ideal settings to allow Xenakis’s music to resonate in a new light.

TRIBUTE:

Olivier Messiaen died thirty years ago and joined the Heavens with which he conversed from the tribunes of the Sainte-Trinité church Paris - and yet, thanks to the visionary and impassioned help of the directors of the Foundation founded by Yvonne Loriod shortly after his death, Messiaen has never been so alive. The entire world will soon know that Messiaen is still very much alive, whether it's via streaming platforms, in concert halls or in the intimacy of one's relationship with the afterlife, in whatever form it may take.
