The musical autumn, which promised to be brilliant in France and in Europe with many premieres scheduled for next November, will be more intimate than social. Lock down does not however rhyme with isolation, and, thanks to the efforts of all our partners, concert halls, festivals, orchestras and musicians, the works of our published composers will find, for the most of them, the way of your homes and of your screens. Keep in touch !
Our agenda for November opens with two events for Beethoven's 250th birthday. The Musicatreize Ensemble presents “Lettres à Élise”, a wonderful project including creations by Benjamin Attahir, Sivan Eldar and Joan Magrané Figuera. Still following Beethoven's tracks, pianist Rudolph Buchbinder will give at the Philharmonie de Paris the French premiere of "Zwei Jahrhunderte später ..." by Philippe Manoury, a work written for a project on the “Diabelli” variations. Philippe Manoury has also composed a "Fanfare", a new work for the Gürzenich Orchester, included in the cycle of overtures that the Cologne orchestra has commissioned for the concerts of its current season. A new work will be performed by the Accentus Choir: “After Arethusa” by Sivan Eldar. Bechara El-Khoury has dedicated her seventh symphonic poem "Il fait novembre en mon âme " to the victims of the Bataclan attack, performed at the Salle Gaveau by the Paris Chamber Orchestra, and Eric Montalbettipays homage to the paintings of Sonia and Robert Delaunay with “Fenêtre simultanée sur la ville” which will be premiered in Geneva by the Lemanic Modern Ensemble, conducted by Pierre Bleuse. This rich month of November will end at the Philharmonie de Paris with "Penthesilea" by Pascal Dusapin, performed for the first time in concert by the Orchestre de Paris.
