The Orchestre d’Harmonie de la Région Centre with the pianist Marianna Abrahamyan conducted by Philippe Ferro will premiered "Le Carillon d'Orléans pour piano et orchestre d'harmonie" on 24 October. 

The Ensemble Modern, celebrating this year the double anniversary of its 40th birthday and the 20th anniversary of its audiovisual subsidiary (the Ensemble Modern Medien), is not one to rest on its laurels. Though they may be at the heart of an entire repertoire, ranging from from Heiner Goebbels to Steve Reich and Frank Zappa, which would allow them today to focus solely on their (glorious) past, the ensemble still and always strives to spark the unheard and the surprising.  

Five years after the attacks on 13 November 2015, this concert in honour of the victims marks the premiere of a new work by the Franco-Lebanese composer and poet Bechara El-Khoury, commissioned by various parents in memory of Stéphane, who died at the Bataclan.

From the lonely paths of the bass clarinet, this new cycle by Alberto Posadas leads into a dense network of wandering sounds. The movements of the voices and instruments make spatial experiences possible that are reminiscent of our moving about.  With the "Poética del camino" Alberto Posadas creates a treatise, both spiritual and directly sensual, on changes, transitions, the old motif of pacing and wandering, right down to final existential questions.
