Pascal Dusapin - "Il Viaggio, Dante"

The premiere of an opera by Pascal Dusapin is always a noteworthy event. It is all the more so when it marks the composer's return to the genre, fourteen years after the creation of Passion, which has since won the hearts of international audiences, on the stage of the Festival d'Aix.

This year, the event will take place on 8 July at the Grand Théâtre de Provence, the first act of a long adventure that will then move to the Opéra national de Paris, the Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg and Saarbrücken: Il Viaggio, Dante, with a libretto by the ever faithful Frédéric Boyer, staged by Claus Guth, conducted by Kent Nagano at the helm of the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Lyon. The vocal cast is no less impressive: Jean-Sébastien Bou will perform alongside Christel Loetzsch, "fabulous" in the of the recording of Penthesilea at the Philharmonie de Paris, a "triumph without applause" (according to Télérama); Jennifer France and Dominique Visse will also join this unique journey, presented here exclusively by the composer for your pleasure.
