More than 100 years after her passing, Lili Boulanger at the Proms 2024

From July 19th to September 14th, the prestigious BBC Proms will be presenting essential works by French female composers such as Mel Bonis, Cécile Chaminade, Louise Farrenc and Lili Boulanger. Among them, three pieces by Lili Boulanger will be performed at the Royal Albert Hall on the memorable evenings of August 23rd and September 4th 2024. 

D'un soir triste will be performed on August 23rd 2024 by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Lahav Shani.

Two other works by Lili Boulanger will be presented on September 4th 2024: Pie Jesu, for soprano, string quartet, harp and organ, and Vieille prière bouddhique, for tenor, mixed choir and piano. These works will be performed by soprano Golda Schultz, tenor Laurence Kilsby, baritone Thomas Mole and the BBC Chorus and Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Stéphane Denève.
