Georges Aperghis - "Der Lauf des Lebens"

The second half of 2020 promises to be one dedicated to the idea of artistic faith and the sustainability of its achievements: Starting on 2 September, the Berlin Philharmonic Kammermusiksaal will be the setting for the world premiere of Der Lauf des Lebens, a new work performed by the most faithful to Georges Aperghis, the Vienna Klangforum ensemble.

Further west, the Cologne Philharmonic (followed by the Musica festival) and the Musikfabrik ensemble, also at the heart of many Aperghian highlights, will resume the Intermezzi 21 September, followed by the Essen Philharmonic and the WDR Orchestra performing Etude VII, the newest addition to the famous symphonic cycle started in 2013, premiering on 31 October.

At the end of the year, other great talents from the composer's unique artistic family will give shape to his latest creations, such as the Instant Donné ensemble (during the Rainy Days festival in Luxembourg on 14 November and Milano Musica on 30 November), the SWR Choir (21 November), and finally the Ensemble Modern which will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year with a jubilee concert on 9 December at the Alte Oper.

Six months to discover on stage the latest works that will further enrich the unique heritage of the catalogue of the creator of Récitations and Avis de Tempête!
