Pascal Dusapin - Residency at BOZAR

Pascal Dusapin - Residency at BOZAR

The BOZAR draws a portrait of the composer Pascal Dusapin.

An important residency for this gifted musician, master of all genres, who has established a long-standing and privileged relationship with Belgium and La Monnaie.

The first meeting will therefore take place on 14th February with the Belgian premiere of Aufgang. Of the numerous concert pieces commissioned by violinist Renaud Capuçon, Pascal Dusapin's Aufgang has quickly distinguished itself by the extent of its dissemination. With numerous national premieres under its belt, such as 14th February at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels (with the violinist and sponsor at the helm alongside the National Orchestra of Belgium conducted by Hugh Wolff), the work now belongs to the exclusive repertoire of the concerto - thus confirming the intuition of its very first audience, deeply impressed by the work's formal and sonorous ambition. A masterpiece to be experienced again and again!
