The Elbphilharmonie spotlights Iannis Xenakis

It is hard to imagine a better setting for the music of Iannis Xenakis, the architect of sounds, than the Elbphilharmonie by Herzog and de Meuron in the port of Hamburg, this profession of faith through the power of stone, glass, and gravity, at the service of music.

For three days, from 29 November to 1 December, the great orchestral frescoes will echo within the emblematic concert hall of Hamburg (including the canonical Jonchaies and Metastasis) and the most emblematic works of the unforgettable creator's catalogue for ensemble or soloist, and in particular for percussion (Rebonds, Psappha, Persephassa ...) performed by the best ensembles in the country, from the Elbphilharmonie Orchestra to the Berlin Radio, the Resonanz Ensemble and the Percussions de Strasbourg ensemble.

Three days of emotions and (re)discoveries not to be missed by the (broad and growing) community of followers of Xenakis.
