After the already “historic” premiere of Philippe Manoury’s Lab.Oratorium only a few weeks ago, Cologne will repeat the experience in June with the celebration of the premiere made in France, expertly conducted by François-Xavier Roth.

On 16, 17 and 18 June, the Gürzenich-Orchester will premiere at the Kölner Philharmonie Faits et Gestes by Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, a work which, as explained with vigour and poetry by the composer in the video below, highlights the art of the conductor and the magic of his instrument, the orchestra.

The renowned composer of Aube (premiered in 2015 by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dohnanyi) and his first Concerto pour piano (with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France conducted by Stockhammer) will this time be at the piano, performing Schumann’s piano concerto.
