Éric Tanguy, "Clarinet Concerto"

Clarinet Concerto, Eric Tanguy

After two flute Concertos (1992-94) and an oboe Concertino (2003), at the soloist, Pierre Genisson’s request, Eric Tanguy has created a new concertante opus for clarinet.

Placed alongside Mozart's Concerto K. 622, this work in three movements is part of Eric Tanguy's reflection on the solo / orchestral balance, the opposition or fusion emerging from this encounter.

A score, having obtained the support of the Buffet Crampon Society, which will be premiered by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège under the baton of Patrick Davin, on the 24 November 2017, before a reprise by the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne.
