François Meïmoun : "Le Chant de la Création"

Le Chant de la Création, Concerto for orchestra by François Meïmoun

A vast orchestral fresco, in three parts, instrumented for nearly one hundred musicians, the Chant de la Création is an orchestral Concerto inspired by the Jewish religion, founded on a text attributed to King David.

After his Concerto for viola and orchestra (Le Chant des Barbares - 2014), this new orchestral opus by François Meïmoun is his first major symphonic work. He deploys here his fine knowledge of the Orchestra tool, using it in all its brilliance (tutti of “Danse du ciel et de la Terre” - the Dance of Heaven and Earth - mvt 2) or a touch of pointillist (“La lumière” - The light - mvt 3). From powerful orchestral rockets or complex and rhythmic games of percussion, during this deep trilogy, delicate lines were inspired by the King of Israel’s song.

A score that will be premiered by its commissioner, the Orchestre National Bordeaux-Aquitaine under the direction of Paul Daniel the 30 November 2017 in the Auditorium of Bordeaux.
