Dusapin at the Teatro Colon
CHOREOGRAPHIC PLAY BY DIANA THEOCHARIDIS, BASED ON THE ORIGINAL MUSIC BY PASCAL DUSAPIN
Choreographic project revolving around studies for piano, violoncello pieces, and the world premiere of Slackline for cello and piano by Pascal Dusapin. The piano and the violoncello produce two very different sound spaces. The studies touch a point of melancholy, from affection to sadness, central in this show. One of the violoncello pieces, “Invece”, which we could translate as “on the contrary”, marks a path to follow. Built from an uncommon logic, it has as principles the use of unusual materials and procedures and making decisions that we would not normally make and that open the game to the unpredictable.
This choreography will be the world premiere of the cello and piano pieces by Pascal Dusapin written for Anssi Karttunen and Nicolas Hodges, Slackline.
Performances on 13 - 14 - 15 - 16 October 2016 - Teatro Conlon, Buenos Aires, Argentina
