As part of the Centennial Mission 14-18, on the occasion of the centenary of the Battle of the Chemin des Dames, Edith Canat de Chizy will deliver a new seven-part Oratorio for solo baritone, children's choir and orchestra. A poignant work expressing the tragic destiny of the fighters, the rebellion of the mutineers and the dark memory of this reddened land of the Aisne Valley. A front line where more than 350,000 French and German fighters perished. Attahir : "Al Asr" by the quartet Arod

 After the great success of Al Fajr’s creation in Berlin by the Boulez Ensemble and Daniel Barenboïm, the Arod Quartet will be performing the premiere of Al Asr on the 2 October at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris of the second part of the Salah cycle, set up until 2019 by Benjamin Attahir.

A commission by the NTR Zaterdagmatinee series at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the London Philharmonic Orchestra (with the generous support of Diaphonique, the Franco-British fund for contemporary music supported by the Bureau Export, the British Council, and the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication), the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, and Radio France.

World Premiere on 30 September 2017 with Viktoria Mullova and Matthew Barley at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

The composer Benoît Mernier will be at the heart of the inauguration weekend for the organ at the Centre for Fine Arts (15^th-17^th September 2017) with his Concerto for Organ by the National Orchestra of Belgium and his Dickinson Songs by the Youth Choir and the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra.

Daniel Barenboim and the Boulez Ensemble open the Pierre Boulez Saal’s second season with a wide-ranging program that reflects the ensemble’s philosophy: to combine works from the Classical and Romantic era with masterpieces of the 20th century and music of our time. Mozart, Ravel, and Shostakovich frame a new composition by Benjamin Attahir, Al Fajr, commissioned for this concert.

An eagerly expected creation already rewarded by an international prize. The work inspired by the Fukushima disaster is the fruit of Philippe Manoury and Nicolas Stemann based on a text by Elfriede Jelinek, the author of The Piano Teacher and Nobel Prize in literature.

Kein Licht. Thinkspiel for actors, instrumentalists and electronic music in real time based on a text by Elfriede Jelinek. Commissioned by the Opéra Comique. World premiere on 26 August 2017 as part of the Ruhrtriennale, Germany.

Dein Gesang is a musical portrait of Paul Celan, written by François Meïmoun for two female voices, Élise Chauvin and Marie Kobayashi, three percussions and viola solo, Christophe Desjardins. 

Inventio for orchestra by Oscar Bianchi, commissioned by musica viva des Bayerischen Rundfunks with the friendly support of the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, will have its world premiere on 2 June 2017 with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks conducted by Johannes Kalitzke.

Hèctor Parra took for inspiration 3 of the sonnets by William Shakespeare (lthe 18, 19 et 20) to compose this new opus for tenor and orchestra that will have its World Premiere on 28 May 2017 by the Freiburger Barokorchester conducted by Jérémie Rorher with tenir Julian Prégardien at the Kölner Philharmonie.
