FOCUS

With Meeresstille, a work for two horns and strings, Joan Magrané brings together Schubert, Goethe, and Urgell, a great late-Romantic Catalan painter known for his seascapes, who strongly influenced Miró's work. A true ode to the aquatic element, this work is part of a string of creations focused on nature, demonstrating the composer's link to the concerns of his time. Premiered by the Franz Schubert Filharmonia and conducted by Tomàs Grau at the Enric Granados Auditorium next January, this work opens a year rich in creation for this rsing composer who is rapidly multiplying his prestigious collaborations!

"Of all the schools of patience and lucidity, creation is the most effective. To create is to give form to one's destiny. To create is to live twice. Only perhaps creation is a solitary act but so constructive." Albert Camus
